Terms of Service

These terms are between bConsulted LLC, 5990 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22303 (“we”), which operates Empower HR, and the company that signs up for Empower HR. They are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. [Counsel to confirm the courts that hear disputes, and who may accept these terms on a company's behalf.]

Prices are in US dollars, per month unless a price says otherwise, and are shown on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance by card through Stripe. [Counsel and the owner to confirm taxes, refunds, proration, notice of price changes and what happens to existing subscribers.]

The Free plan covers employee records for a limited number of people, set out on our pricing page. [Counsel to confirm that we may change or end the Free plan, and with what notice.]

Payroll is available in the territories shown on our pricing page. The customer remains responsible for its payroll, statutory deductions, filings and payments. [Counsel to set out our responsibility for calculations and the limits of our liability.]

A customer may engage a partner firm and choose what it may do. A customer billed through a partner pays the partner, and the partner pays us. Partner firms sign our separate partner terms.

The customer owns the data it puts into Empower HR. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. [Data processing terms, security commitments, how a customer exports its data, and what happens to data when an account ends.]
